The Siem Reap Hostel’s tagline is “Hotel luxury on a backpack budget”. Up to a point this is true, even if we’ve found the word luxury a bit overrated here. However, considering the costs (rooms start at $10 a night in low season) the rooms here are excellent: they have enough space and comfortable beds.
At Siem Reap Hostel, tourists should focus on food. They serve a wide variety of specialties, and they serve them well. They will send for you a tuk tuk driver at the bus stop, which is really important, especially if you don’t have a special ability in finding a particular place in a new city. In other words, they do their best to make your stay there as pleasing as possible.
In the evening, you can have a drink at their poolside bar and enjoy a bath in the pool which is always kept clean, irrespective of season. However, this is not a hostel for those looking for peaceful atmosphere; instead, it’s rather noisy right from the first hour to late at night. Even so, the general impression is positive and joyful.
